A Reflection on Manifestation
As I write this, I am counting down the final days until my birthday.
This is a week of great reflection for me as I observe my personal Holy Week, or what I call Manifestation Week. Put simply, it’s the week before my birthday. So over the next few days, I’ll spend a great deal of time contemplating the nature of my role in creating the reality I experience.
Consider this: Your birth was a moment of great personal triumph. All those years ago you understood your power, so when you decided to exist you made it happen. You completed the final steps in a months-long process of manifesting into existence!
Knowing this, I find it personally imperative to observe, honor and celebrate my first act of manifestation in human form. That’s why the week of my birthday is my own personal, religious holiday. (I also observe this for the week leading up to my little one’s birth date, as well. But that’s a story for another blog post.)
In the days leading up to my birthday, I pause to commune with my true self. The Me that has always existed inside. She is my common sense; protecting and guiding me. She is my intuition; a powerful, wise and an ever-growing reserve of ancestral knowledge. I look to her for inspiration daily, but especially in the moments leading to the day of my birth. It is during this span of time I feel closest to the Me without masks. The Me without limitations. The Me without trauma or fear.
Here are four practices I observe during Manifestation Week:
Reflect. I recount the things I’ve survived and the ways in which I’ve thrived.
Practice Gratitude. I do this by thanking myself for a job well done, thus far.
Expand. I direct my thoughts and energy towards birthing newer and greater versions of myself.
Slow Down. I direct my body towards rest.
What will the next season of Goddess Erica have in store for us? What does your next season have in store for us?
I invite you, Divine One, to take a moment to pause and reflect on the power that lies within you. Whether you believe in the concept of manifestation or not, there is undeniable strength in setting intentions and aligning your actions with your desires.
In fact, you may be surprised at what changes in your life after dedicating just one week to consciously nurturing your power.
